Vintage Bikes

When we were young, Melinda, Devyn, and I would ride our bikes in our neighborhood. In addition to playing in the tree house our Dad built, our other favorite pastime was riding our bikes down Green Valley Rally (Our coined nickname to this small hill near our house). Visiting there this past Easter, I realized how big our imaginations were to call a small piece of cement such a loving nickname as “Green Valley Rally”. It’s a lot smaller than I remembered.

We would race down the hill on basically anything: our new razor scooters, hand-me-down bikes, skateboards, or our roller blades. This post brings me back to brighter times. When things were simple and life was fun and exciting. All we were worried about at the time was who would pass the finish line at the bottom of the hill first.

These vintage bikes commemorate my childhood.
