Vintage Finds: Jewelry Holder DIY

Here is my latest crafting night with June Cruz:

What you will need:

Thrift store frame. (Goodwill: $3), Trusty Glue Gun (Free: Mom’s hand-me-downs), Wire scissors (Antique Row sale in Pomona: $2)

Step 1: Cut chicken wire to fit the frame

Step 2: Hot glue to wire to the inside border of the frame

Step 3: Put earings through and display!

Making this jewelry holder only took us 10 minutes! And the idea was all June’s! She even gave me the chicken wire. :] I’m so excited to go to Tahiti with her!

Necklaces

I saw this picture the other day and thought, hey, I can make that!

So I tried.

Here’s what I ended up looking like:

I think they turned out pretty similar. Don’t you?

I tried putting them on a chain too:

not too bad right?

I’ve been messing around making a bunch of different earrings and necklaces. I’ve been meaning to put them up here, but haven’t found the time! The studs are mostly vintage. All the others I made using old things I’ve found at thrift stores or sale items from Michael’s.

Here are a couple that I’m super excited about:

I don’t know… I’m not much of a jewelry designer, I just love recycling and reusing other materials into something pretty. I try to have fun. Expect to see these things as I prepare for Christmas gifts! Don’t be surprised if you get a handmade paxie necklace! haha
