Gift for bloggers

My sister loves to blog. She actually got me into blogging. Since she is pretty much about to pop with her first child, I wanted to make something really special for her.

Her blog always has cute things. I thought it would be cool to make Baby Ave Maria Sosa onesies for each month of her first year! That way, Melinda can document her growing and share it with all of her viewers!

Here is what I did:

Step 1: Buy onesies. I bought mine from Target and TJ Maxx. They were about a dollar each. I made sure to buy sizes that would fit as she grew. (newborn, 3-6 months, 6-9 months, and 9-12 months) They only come in packets of 4, so I used the extra for the Baby shower. :]

Step 2: I made the prints and printed them on iron sheets. Make sure to make them backwards so that it will be right-side-up when you put them on! I made twelve of these. the last for Ave’s 1st birthday!

Step 3: Iron them on:

Step 4, continue with months 2-12

Step 5: Organize and wrap!

When she opened it, she was so excited! I’m looking to find a cute chair that Ave can take her monthly pictures on. I think that would be so fun.

Babies and Bunting

Hello! Melinda and Eddie’s Friend Baby shower was last Saturday. We did a family one a couple of weeks ago but did not post pictures on that since we were using the same decorations. (Ahem Melinda) HA.

It was kind of a mixed theme: a little bit carnival, a little bit bright colors, and a “POP-ed” themed as well. Weird, but it turned out good, I think. I really didn’t get to take that many pictures of everyone, but here are a few:

My Mom actually made almost 300 feet of bunting for these parties! Big props to her.

We actually made almost 40 pinwheels for the party!

Look at this beautiful diaper cake that Justin and his mom made!

Thanks Missy for emceeing the games! You are the best. Seriously.

Thanks a bunch to everyone who helped set-up and clean after. You rock! especially you, Ashley. :]

Melinda and Eddie had a great time and really appreciated everyone coming to celebrate with them. Baby Ave Maria Sosa is lucky to have so many people that love her!

Halloween Decorations

I know I am so late in finally making a post for this, but here’s some decorations we made for the Cross-trainer Halloween Party. Everything was inspired and created by me, Tracy, Marie, John John, Angelica, and Sylvie.

John John and Angelica painted these scary pictures and we hung them in the staircase. Made a great backdrop for the costume contest!

Sylvie made this amazing pumpkin carving!

I was inspired by this picture to make a sign out of pumpkins:

I saw this picture on pinterest too and wanted to make my own version of it.

We also put cobbwebs in the chamdelier which made it really spooky!

Tracy found these awesome bottles from the thrift store and we helped paint them to make potion bottles. She used them for the coffee stand. Read about it here.

I love hanging out, making things and decorating. all of these people are so great.

Creative Halloween Costumes

Yes, I’m alive! Sorry I’ve been gone for a while, Martin and I had an amazing weekend in New Orleans, LA. So many great things to show you guys. I took loads pictures and they will come in the next few days. I’m still processing all of them!

Today I wanted to brainstorm on a couple of awesome Halloween Costumes that I found browsing the internet. This weekend I’m going to be watching Rocky Horror near San Diego and I need help coming up with a clever costume! Martin and I want to kind of match, so I need to come up with something!

We could be tacky tourists!

If I was younger, I would totally do this! Maybe for my kids one day.. Dorothy from Wizard of Oz! (as she flies away in the basket)
