Rocky Horror Picture Show

A few months ago, I received a text from Katrina inviting us to watch Rocky Horror with them at a winery in Temecula. She and Nick went there last year and had a great time so they wanted to repeat the festivities. She sent me an e-mail with this website attached with a long list of random items each of us was supposed to bring so we could use them as props during the show. I volunteered to get everything prepared and put the bags together. There were ten people, ten bags, and lots of stuff. It was fun putting everything together!

Little did I know how many things were on the list!

There were a lot of things to buy for this show. I knew we would be throwing most of them so I decided to pack a lot of each thing. Here’s a few:

Rice: We threw this in the very beginning of the movie during the wedding scene.

Bells: I couldn’t find any large bells, so I tied each of the mini bells to a small string. Turns out we didn’t even know when to ring these bells! oh well.

Party hats: We put them on during the party scene. We also used the clappers and noise makers too.

All of the other items you can read about in their fan page.

Anyway, I personalized each little bag and I thought they turned out great, don’t you?!

We also had to dress up in costumes!

Martin and I went as a flapper and a 20′s bartender. (We really got our costumes last minute!) I thought it still turned out great though:

Eddie and Melinda went as Bacon and Eggs. So clever! They got second place during the costume contest! I told them they should have gone as Meagan and Eggs… they didn’t listen to me though. haha.

Missy went as a German Beer Maiden. She even drew on fake freckles!

Katrina and Nick went as Indians: (Red Feather and Red Dot)

Here are all of the ladies:

..and all of the guys!

Never seeing the movie before, I really didn’t know what to expect. We went without having any clue what we were getting ourselves into. It was very interesting, to say the least. But we really had a blast! I’ve never been to a movie where it was okay to shout things out. Nick was super good too, he knew all of the lines!

I had a really great time, The whole weekend was so much fun: making up songs in the car, gambling at Harrah’s, dancing with bananas, and eating pho at the buffet. I wish every weekend could be like this! I love these guys.
