Palm Springs

A couple of weeks ago I got the chance to take some of our social workers on an outing to Palm Springs.

We started off taking a trip to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway which is basically a giant ski-lift machine thing that takes you up the cliffs of the Chino Canyon. It was breathtakingly beautiful.

I can’t believe there was snow up there! Now that it’s super hot and spring-y it’s weird to think that a few short weeks ago it was cold, winter weather… although, this year it felt like winter was only a month.

After, we went to the Mira Monte Resort in Indian Wells where I got to enjoy a nice brunch by the pool while they went off to the spa. It was pretty great.

This Spanish-style resort was so pretty. I can imagine taking a weekend and relaxing here…

Mission Inn

So for the past 3 weeks, work has been non-stop. We’ve had events every day in different facilities all over Southern California. I drove around all day, and spent my nights at Costco preparing for each event. It was tiring and stressful, but it all turned out great and we had an amazing time!

The last event we had was for our own nurses held at our office. We had 5 booths including a sushi bar, filipino truck, smoothie bar, desserts, and BBQ. I was in charge of the dessert/ice cream bar. It was a hit - everyone loved it!

It was kind of inspired by yogurtland or yogurtbar. I had tons of different toppings and people could pick and choose what they wanted.

After the events, they treated us to a day spa for all of our hard work :) We went to Mission Inn, a beautiful historic hotel in the downtown Riverside area. They treated us like princesses. We had champagne and chocolate, tea, and organic fruits. Then we all got massages…I seriously had the best massage of my life that day. I felt like a pampered puppy at one of those doggie day care spas. It was fantastic.

We had such a great time. We relaxed, drank, walked around, and enjoyed ourselves. Yay for working with Charter!
